Oscar was born February 26, 1912 to Nellie Katherine (Nance) and Martin Lewis Travland in Pettus, Bee county, Texas. He married Melba Isabelle Harvey, though I do not have any additional information about the marriage. They were possibly married in Bee county, Texas most likely in the 1930's.
Oscar opened an airport in Bee county in the 1940's and called it the Travland airport. There are also two aircraft named Oscar Travland which were manufactured in California in the 1990's.
Oscar passed away March 20, 1967 in Beeville, Bee county, Texas and was buried at the Glenwood Cemetery.
Oscar's grandparents were Matilda (Vogel) and Lewis Travland.
