Louis was born September 23, 1906 in Normanna, Texas to Stella (Berkeland) and Thomas Tobias Travland. He was married on August 19, 1931 to Margaret "Vera" Lee McDonald in Beeville, Bee county, Texas.
Louis passed away November 26, 1969 in Corpus Christi, Nueces county, Texas and is buried at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
His grandparents were Iverdine (Finnestad) and Lewis Joseph Travland.
